IN CHEMISTRY, HE TURNED WATER TO WINE.
IN BIOLOGY, HE WAS BORN WITHOUT THE
NORMAL
CONCEPTION;
IN PHYSICS, HE DISAPPROVED THE LAW OF GRAVITY WHEN HE
ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN;
IN ECONOMICS, HE DISAPPROVED THE LAW OF DIMINISHING RETURN BY
FEEDING 5000
MEN WITH TWO FISHES & 5 LOAVES OF BREAD;
IN MEDICINE, HE CURED THE SICK AND THE BLIND, WITHOUT
ADMINISTERING A
SINGLE DOSE OF DRUGS,
IN HISTORY, HE IS THE BEGINNING AND THE END;
IN GOVERNMENT, HE SAID THAT HE SHALL BE CALLED WONDERFUL COUNSELOR,
PRINCE
OF PEACE;
IN RELIGION, HE SAID NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH HIM
In the rise of recent capture of 23 Koreans, many have
responded differently.
Politically, it has made an impact upon the affect of
the American occupation in the
land
of
Taliban
.
Socially, it
has caused even more unrest.
But in term of religious, the impact was of
significant because all 23 Korean hostages were Christians volunteering in
mission works in
Afghanistan
.
Some has reacted saying those Koreans should exercise wisdom and discernment in going to such dangerous mission field, yet others applaud their courage and zeal to take the gospel to the end of the earth.
But the greatest question remains: "Are Christians overzealous for Christ?"
God Gives
- Children are gifts from God
- A gift of life and a gift of blessings
God Provides
- When God gift, we need to learn to depend on Him to provide for our child
- It’s not that we don’t work or plan for our cihld, but we can only do so much for our child
- It’s time parents get out from their busyness and excuse of not attending church because they want to work and earn more for their child
- It’s luxury vs basic necessity
God Directs
- As parents, we may have hundred and one hopes and dream for our child
- We might want them to be doctor, lawyer, businessman and other professionals, but have we consider having our child as a pastor?
- We always pray “Lord, let Your will be done in my life” but have we ever prayed, “Lord let Your will be done in the life of my child”?
- If God’s will for your child is to be a martyr for Him, will you still “let your will be done’?
LIFE HURTS GOD HEALS 8-steps
Step 1: Get help. I admit that I am powerless and that I need help.
Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor (Matthew 5:3).
Step 2: Open your heart. I now know that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He is the only One who has the power to heal my pain.
Happy are those who mourn. God will comfort them (Matthew 5:4).
Step 3: Depend on Christ. I realize I need to turn my life over to Christ. I need to depend on Him in all areas of my life, including all that I say, think, and do.
Happy are the humble (Matthew 5:5).
Step 4: Hear and speak. I agree to evaluate my life and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone whom I trust.
Happy are the pure in heart (Matthew 5:8).
Step 5: Embrace God’s way. I will stop doing things my way and put my life on the path that leads toward God’s way.
Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires (Matthew 5:6).
Step 6: Ask for forgiveness. I will offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me, and I will ask for forgiveness for any wrong I’ve done to others.
Happy are the merciful. Happy are the peacemakers (Matthew 5:7,9).
Step 7: Live for God. I will set aside some time for God each day to examine my life, read my Bible, and pray so that I have the power to live God’s way.
Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor (Matthew 5:3).
Step 8: Share with others. I will take the message that God heals to others in need and share it by my words and actions.
Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires (Matthew 5:10).
Many asked why I name my child “Miracle”. Was it something which happened during the pregnancy or during the birth process that made me name her Miracle? Some of you don’t even consider miracle as a proper name.
As a Chinese, my wife and I are Christian. Thus, you can call me as Christian Chinese, but the very core of me is still a Chinese.
For this reason, I will still retain the Chinese name for my child and will educate her in Chinese as she grows.
The name I gave her reflects my Chinese ethnicity. Her surname follows after my family. Her name is Xin Yan. In full, her name is Leong Xin Yan. This is her Chinese name, the official name in her birth certificate.
Although her name is Leong Xin Yan, the real meaning of her name is “the heart’s expression” or “speech of the heart”. To many of us, it makes more sense to call her Xin Yan rather than calling her “heart’s expression”.
I also gave the name Miracle. This reflects my belief and my faith as a Christian. I do not regard Miracle as a Christian name as most of you would agree that it is not a name at all. I will not regard it as her English name because we are Chinese.
Why would we want an English name? Is it because we are influence by Christianity which was brought forth by the Westerners? Are we being westernized by our belief in Christendom?
What if I am a Muslim Chinese? Would I have named my child as Fatimah Leong? I don’t think so. What would happen if I live in Japan?
Just as her Chinese name carries a significant in meaning, I also wish to give her a name which has significance as a Christian. I did not give her an English name like Monica or a Japanese name like Michiko. I also did not give her a Christian name like Jesus or John which is found in the Bible.
I gave her a name that reflects Christ – miracle. Just as her Chinese name gives direct meaning in Chinese, I gave her a name that gives direct meaning in Christ.
Therefore, Miracle is not an English name nor was it a Christian name. It is a name that reflects Christ. Just as we have names like Grace, Hope, Faith, Destiny and Joy, Miracle is a name which reflects God’s work of Miracle in my life and it’s my prayer that my child will experience even greater miracle in her life as she grow to know God personally.
Why I am not studying???
Because :
No Study = Fail ………………….. ( I )
Study = No Fail ………………………. ( II )
By Combining ( I ) & ( II ) :
=====> ( No Study + Study ) = ( No Fail + Fail )
By Taking ( Study ) as a common factor in the left hand side And Taking ( Fail ) as a common factor in the right hand side
=====> Study ( No + 1) = Fail (No + 1 )
By Dividing both sides by ( No + 1)
=====> Study = Fail !!!!
